About Hocking Hikes

Hocking Hikes is an independent trail guide for Hocking Hills State Park and the surrounding hiking region in southeastern Ohio. We're hikers, not a government agency — we built this site because we kept wishing a comprehensive, fact-checked trail guide existed when planning our own trips.

Our guides cover all seven major hiking areas in the park, plus regional trails in Hocking State Forest, Clear Creek Metro Park, Lake Hope, Zaleski State Forest, Wayne National Forest, and the Moonville Tunnel Rail Trail. Every piece of data — distances, elevations, GPS coordinates, dog policies — is verified against official sources and first-hand experience.

Hocking Hikes is part of The Ridge, a network of Hocking Hills tourism sites. We earn commissions from accommodation bookings made through our partners. This keeps the site free and our trail guides updated.

We are not affiliated with ODNR, Hocking Hills State Park, or any government agency. Trail conditions change — always verify current conditions before your visit.
