Where to Stay

The Hocking Hills region has over 1,000 cabin rentals, lodges, treehouses, glamping sites, and hotels — from romantic couples' retreats starting around $150/night to luxury lodges sleeping 30 guests. Nearly all include hot tubs, full kitchens, and fire pits. Browse availability below.

What to Know Before You Book

The cabin market here is enormous — VRBO alone lists 1,900+ properties. Most require a 2-night minimum on weekends. Peak fall foliage weekends (mid-October) book months in advance. Holiday weekends carry 3-night minimums. Weeknight rates run 40–75% less than weekends.

Standard amenities across the market are remarkably uniform: hot tubs (nearly universal), gas or wood fireplaces, full kitchens, WiFi, fire pits, gas grills, and smart TVs. Upgraded properties add game rooms, private pools, saunas, theater rooms, and even pickleball courts.

Pricing Tiers

Budget ($60–$175/night): Basic cabins, tiny houses, off-season weekday stays, hotels in Logan.

Mid-range ($175–$350/night): Standard cabins with hot tub and fireplace, yurts, geodomes, shipping container stays.

Luxury ($350–$800+/night): Premium cabins and lodges with pools, saunas, chef service, private docks.

Best Areas to Stay

South Bloomingville is the epicenter — closest to Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, and Cedar Falls with the densest concentration of rentals. Rockbridge offers a more remote, rustic feel near Rock House and the natural bridge preserve. Logan serves as the services hub with grocery stores, restaurants, and most of the area's hotels.

Pet-Friendly

Over 200 properties accept pets, with fees typically ranging from $15–$75 per stay. Confirm breed/weight restrictions before booking. Some properties have fenced yards — a huge bonus after a day on the trails. Look for cabins with outdoor shower stations or mudrooms.

Booking Tips

Book Direct: Most Hocking Hills cabin companies offer lower rates on their own websites vs. Airbnb or VRBO since they avoid platform fees. Fall foliage mid-October weekends are the hardest dates — booking a year in advance is common. Winter (January–March) offers the best rates and availability.
